across portfolio companies. The new vertical will leverage Coforge’s acquisition integration expertise and AI

capabilities to support portfolio optimisation, EBITDA growth and technology-led transformation.ETMarkets.comCoforge

shares jumped as the IT major launches a dedicated private equity unit focused on AI-led portfolio transformation.Shares

of Coforge gained over 3% to Rs 1,876.45 on the BSE on Thursday after the IT services provider announced a major

strategic push into the private equity domain. The stock saw steady buying interest from the market opening, rising Rs

61.45 (or 3.39%) above its previous close of Rs 1,815.00.The bullish momentum follows the company's formal launch of a

dedicated Private Equity (PE) Business Unit, designed to help PE funds drive operational transformation and value

creation across their portfolio investments.Operational Drivers and StrategyPrivate equity firms are increasingly

grappling with longer asset hold periods, volatile market conditions, and challenging deal valuations. To generate

returns, fund managers are shifting away from traditional deal advisory to focus directly on enterprise value creation,

EBITDA expansion, and operational scaling.Coforge’s new business unit aims to capitalize on this shift. The company is

bringing its tested acquisition integration playbook, which successfully executed turnaround operations for brands such

as NIIT Technologies, Incessant Technologies, SLK Global, Cigniti Technologies, and Encora LLC directly to institutional

investors.AI Execution at ScaleCentral to Coforge's PE strategy is its proprietary AI operating system, Coforge Nuuron.

The business unit combines data, governance, and hybrid pod-based delivery units to embed AI workflows into portfolio

operations.Live EventsPreeti Singh, Executive Vice President and Head of North America at Coforge, stated that private

equity firms are moving from experimenting with AI to embedding AI-driven value creation directly into their investment

models. Singh noted that executing AI initiatives at scale across a portfolio has become a strategic differentiator that

requires a repeatable, outcome-led model tied directly to lower operating costs and sustained margin growth.Market

PerspectiveInvestors have reacted positively to the announcement, viewing the dedicated PE unit as a logical

monetisation of Coforge's core turnaround capabilities. With no price band restrictions ("No Band") in place for the
