One UI 9.0 TL;DR Samsung Wallet is expected to add stablecoin account opening, cross-border remittances, and in-store
point-of-sale payments. The cross-border feature would let users send remittances with stablecoins inside Samsung
Wallet, avoiding a separate virtual-asset app and reducing fees and delays. Samsung plans to roll out crypto services
gradually, adapting to each country’s regulations. Samsung announced at its Unpacked event last month that it will
soon bring stablecoin support to Samsung Wallet. The company has gradually been enhancing cryptocurrency support in its
payment platform, with users in the United States already able to purchase digital currencies using Samsung Wallet. New
features to arrive in the near future Local reports from South Korea highlight that Samsung will enable stablecoin
account opening, cross-border overseas remittances, and in-store point-of-sale payments to Samsung Wallet. The
cross-border payments functionality will enable users to use stablecoins for sending remittances without requiring a
separate app for virtual assets. This feature will be particularly useful, as it would enable users to save on indirect
expenses such as exchange costs and intermediary bank fees when sending remittances. Remittances sent through
conventional modes often take longer to arrive, with funds not being available for use immediately. Stablecoin
remittances are not just faster but also allow for the funds to be used the moment they're received. The feature would
deliver incredible cost-savings for the organization itself. The report mentions that if Samsung Electronics uses
stablecoins for internal organization-wide remittances, it could end up saving more than $100 million per year. Samsung
plans to expand the scope of cryptocurrency services offered through Samsung Wallet step by step, in line with the
